Estadio Ramón de Carranza is a football stadium in Cádiz, Spain. The stadium is the home ground of Cádiz CF
The stadium was inaugurated September 3, 1955. With a total of 15000 spectators. The match was against F.C.Barcelona, that ended in a loss of 0-4. With two goals from Villaverde, then Luis Suárez then a final goal from Kubala.
Over the last two seasons the stadium has undergone major reconstruction in order to cope with the large demand for tickets and in order to improve facilities, which were originally outdated. The reconstruction has been organized in stages in order to guarantee there is a reasonable capacity every season. During the 2006/07 season the "fondo norte" was replaced by a two tier stand, temporarily reducing the capacity to 19,500. The capacity, with a reduction of just 2,500 has been achieved by a temporary stand in front of where the new fondo sur shall be built. A similar system was used whilst the fondo norte was being redeveloped in 2004. During the 2009/2010 season, the "Tribuna" will be demolished and be replaced with a two tier stand. It will be finished in 2011.
